A Lot Of Catching Up To Do...

So we haven't posted for a year and a half. I know it's bad but i can honestly say its not from a lack of much to say. Quite the opposite. It seems like centuries ago since i kept up with this thing but i am going to try to do better. We have seen probably over twenty different guys make extended stays in our house since we last wrote. Some have ended in heartbreaking drug relapses others in miraculous salvations and many of these relationships have never ended. In the last six months we have seen two close friends give their lives to Christ. One used to be homeless but now spends the day helping us work and reading the Bible ("Way better than Harry Potter"). The other is a fifteen year old kid from the neighborhood named Micquan. He has a crazy zeal for the Lord, raps about his salvation, loves to open the word with us, and tells everyone he meets how Jesus is changing his life. So much more has happened then i could ever make sense of. The cookouts have carried on and we continue to learn new ways to serve and love this community. We have fixed houses, housed the homeless, fed the hungry, built wheelchair ramps, loved the lonely, and whatever other crazy thing seemed to be in the spirit of the gospel. We have gone from being the new neighborhood fascination to the trustworthy veterans. We are learning so much about the value of our consistency and the value of a simple, constant, and blameless life lived before God and man. We are in love with our neighborhood and so privileged to get to serve it. Anyway i will try to post some more retroactive blogs.

Also we are now a non-profit so anything given towards our ministry can be documented and count as a tax writeoff. You send donations to either;
515 East 18th Street
Charlotte, NC 28206

or click the yellow "donate" button on our band myspace. It's on the left side under our individual pictures. We will make sure to send documentation of all gifts so please send return adresses.

As always the Lord is providing for us but we can always use help. Especially as the summer comes on and our community prepares to undergo two new marriages.

Praise the Lord. The Just shall live by faith!!!
grace and peacce,
